Questioning the developmental changes in today’s children that are affecting their readiness for 1st Grade.
Today’s teachers observe that First Graders are not the same as they were 30, 20 or even 10 years ago. Class teachers cycling back to First Grade are surprised to find children who do not fit their expectations and to which the Waldorf curriculum and classroom setting no longer seem to apply. How do schools and teachers adapt to this situation and address the now common occurrence of learning challenges in the classroom?
